The Eine Welt Netz NRW (One World Network) has been for one world engagements to global justice since 1991 .
Our network unites hundred groups, initiatives and associations, that are connected through our local member centers, they take advantage of the many benefits we provide as a national network and actively participate with us for a more equitable world.
The project “Die Zukunft des Eine Welt-Engagements in Nordrhein-Westfalen (The Future of One World Activism)” identified around 7,000 One World actors in NRW in 2022. That’s around 65,000 volunteers who are involved in, for example: world stores, university groups, refugee initiatives, human rights associations or partnership initiatives.
In 2023, more than 139,200 participants were reached directly at events, 883,100 via various social media channels and 422,000 via radio. In addition, were Over 1,667,950 people reached via print media with reports on One World Work topics.
We are as a national network active throughout NRW to carry and promote our concerns and issues of global justice throughout the state’s cities, villages and communities. We also voice our concerns at national and international level.
We also organize state-wide campaigns and conferences. We also arrange contacts with actors from the fields of global learning, youth encounters, fair trade, international campaigns and much more.
They guide our efforts to create a fair and sustainable world by reconciling ecological, social and economic aspects. Together with our partners, we are committed to implementing these global goals at a local level and thus contributing to a better future for all. We follow a participative approach to actively involve interested parties in the achievement of these goals.
The Global Learning Forum establishes a place of exchange to strengthen the understanding of global coherences and to enhance sustainability.
We facilitate international cooperation to strengthen partnerships worldwide and address global challenges together.
Our large annual national conference deals with current development political developmental matters and promotes networking.
In the area of fair trade, we provide valuable development policy information and education work and lobby for the 2030 Agenda.
The platform networks initiatives and organizations in North Rhine-Westphalia that are committed to global justice and sustainability. It offers the opportunity to make players in the One World movement visible, to find partnerships and to get involved. The aim is to promote a just and sustainable future by connecting like-minded people in NRW.
