We make a difference together

Our network unites hundreds of groups, initiatives, and associations, that are connected through our local member centers. They take advantage of the many benefits we provide as a national network and actively participate with us in building a more equitable world.

<b>An Overview of The One World Landscape</b>

An Overview of The One World Landscape

The project “Die Zukunft des Eine Welt-Engagements in Nordrhein-Westfalen (The Future of One World Activism)” identified around 7,000 One World actors in NRW in 2022. That’s about 65,000 volunteers who are involved in, for example, world shops, university groups, refugee initiatives, human rights associations or partnership initiatives.

In 2023, more than 139,200 participants were reached directly at events, 883,100 via various social media channels, and 422,000 via radio. In addition, over 1,667,950 people were reached via print media with reports on One World work topics.

As a national network, we are active across NRW, carrying and promoting our concerns and issues of global justice in the state’s cities, villages, and communities. We also voice our concerns at the national and international level.

Our Engagment

  • Support and advise for One World activism
  • International volunteer services and reverse programs
  • Educational projects and public relations
  • Networking, services, and training for One World work in NRW
  • Political representation of civil society interests

We also organize state-wide campaigns and conferences. In addition, we facilitate contacts with actors in the fields of global learning, youth exchanges, fair trade, international campaigns, and much more.

UN Agenda 2030

The goals guide our efforts to create a fair and sustainable world by balancing ecological, social, and economic aspects. Together with our partners, we are committed to implementing these global goals at the local level and thereby contributing to a better future for all. We follow a participatory approach that actively involves stakeholders in achieving these goals.
